Railway software safety as a client: Practitioners masterclass (uk)

This course is to equip you with the fundamentals of software safety assurance, focussing on the skills and knowledge need to effectively and safely procure safety critical, software driven assets in the UK railway industry. In particular it is designed to equip you with the knowledge you need to effectively oversee assurance of rail assets in compliance with the GB rail industry standard RIS 0745-CCS “Client Safety Assurance of High Integrity Software-based Systems for Railway Applications.”

Over seven complementary modules, it will equip you with in depth knowledge of:
- how software fails, and how to ensure it doesn’t
- the key contents and requirements for assuring the safety of software in international rail standards and UK standards and legislation.
- how to manage software safety, as a client, through all aspects of project delivery, authorisation, operation and maintenance.
